Drug Education talks: Effective Drug Talks for Schools, Workplace, Others, Narconon

What would be the best class size to get the message across?

We like to group the students in age groups Group one from 7 to 12 years and group two from 12 to all teenagers. As far as numbers go, anything from 6 to 20 seems to work well in keeping their interest, attention and best retention of the message.

What information is given to the children during the talk?

Only data which can be substantiated about what effects drugs have on the body and mind.

The short promo video and the booklet covers this in general and the full version video covers everything that the presenter says.

How do the Narconon talks fit in with what we have going?

Narconon covers and reinforces the same physical effect data freely available from other good scientific sources. What is different with Narconon is the much more effective way it is presented, some additional data unique to Narconon’s research and the effects that drugs have on a person’s thoughts.

How long is the lead time to book a talk?

Usually we can arrange for a presenter with about 3 weeks notice.

Do schools have the same talks every year?

Because the kids move through a school as they progress it has been found effective to return every 2 or three years. The reason for this is that as they grow up their understanding widens and they are also exposed to more false information from their drug pushing peers. Not only that, once is not enough to make the message stick.

We are a very small school how do we go about getting some financial help?

Sometimes we have funds from donors available to low budget schools. Please ask us about this scheme.

We can also send the full talk on video to far away or low budget schools. This is never as good or as effective as a live talk.

Can we have the talk on a weekend or out of school hours?

Yes, but we have found that it is much, much better done in normal school times.

Is it alright to invite parents to the talk at the same time as the children?

Not necessarily. We have no objection to this of course and actually it works to reinforce the message but many times kids like to feel they are free of parental influence on this sometimes touchy subject. Especially the teenagers. Parents can come to the parents talks of course.

What qualifications does the presenter have to do these talks?

All our presenters are trained to give the talks in the same way and cover the same material. Some differences occur based on the individual personality of the presenter as is always the case. They all have very intimate experience with the effect that drugs have on a person. They are also certified by Narconon.

Do you try to sell anything else either at or after the talks?

No. This is not a promotional talk to on sell any other products or services. The talks stand alone and have no other purpose that that of education and enlightenment towards our mission statement of drug free future adults.

What makes your talk better than others?

Our talks come at the problem from the angle of providing information for the students to evaluate on their own determinism. They are not given lectures on what to think. They also contain information not found anywhere else in other talks.

The drug problem seems to be getting worse, not better, why is this?

This is a sad thing of today. Clever promotion on TV by legal drug companies are softening young people up to thinking drugs are not all that bad. Pressure from peers and very soft penalties from Judges all add to the problem.

Do you have a follow up programme?

Our follow up programme at this time is to keep coming back to the same schools over and over to keep the message fresh to counter the constant sales pressure created by the pro-drug interests and pushers.

How can I discover if a person is already a user?

There are a number of indicators which show this and they are listed on this drug indicators page.

What is the cost of the talks?

There are different prices for different groups and needs. Drug Talk Prices.
