School Talks
It's a proven fact that lecturing at young people has very little effect or staying power.
On the other hand, we have found that giving them easy to understand information for them to look over and think about is much more effective in helping them make better decisions and judgements about a subject.
Our talks are given in a light hearted and non-threatening manner to young people and they respond enthusiastically to this method as they learn. Not only that but the information stays with them because they have been given a choice about whether to accept it or not.
Our revealing written survey taken at the end of every talk where each student is given a simple form to complete with just a few questions about what they thought of the talk is a very powerful and effective method of maintaining our standards for two very important reasons. One is that it lets us know how effective our talks are with the students and did they understand the talk, did they learn anything and has it made a difference in their attitude towards drugs. The other is that it makes sure our presenters are always delivering high standard excellent presentations. In other words if the survey results drop from anything but rave acknowledgements we can make any corrections necessary.
The talks cover what is a drug, how they are made and what effects they have on the body and mind. How they are promoted in the media and how to stand your ground when offered drugs of any kind.
The talks are lively and very interactive. Teachers are fascinated watching the students get involved in the talks and seeing them totally engrossed in the action.
It is so heartbreaking to see bright young people get lead astray and their hopes and dreams smashed because they never had a good solid grounding in the true data about drugs so as to be able to combat the false data promoted and circulated by the various money motivated vested interests.

Talks to Teens It is very important to get the message of drugs across to the teenage group as they become exposed to the promoters. It is possible to show them both sides of the story and the consequences of the decisions they are about to make when the subject comes up. We never cease to be amazed at the false information they are fed about the subject that needs to be corrected and balanced with clear and simple examples and demonstrations of good true data. |
